I am the artist behind every dark and macabre creation. My name is Kat, and I am a 28 year old witch hailing from the Midwest. I have been drawing and painting ever since I could pick up a pencil, but I began to take it seriously by the time I was in fifth grade, when my dad taught me how to use MS Paint and the classic Windows Movie Maker. I was obsessed with learning how to animate animals like the cats from the Erin Hunter series “Warriors”. By the time I was thirteen-fourteen years old, I never shied away from creating dark art, from evil carnivals to my own monsters. I was obsessed with learning more, and spent all of my free time teaching myself different techniques and how to use different mediums. Years of practice and trial and error have brought me here, currently using up to thirteen mediums and excited to share my creations with everyone, especially those who find comfort in my art’s inspiration. I am happily married to a loving and supportive husband who has been by my side every step of the way, and keeps me on my feet whenever I feel like falling down. When I'm not painting or drawing, I love to read and write, and my favorite book genres include poetry, witchcraft, art history and occultism



My art inspirations range from Halloween and horror to witchcraft and occultism, and Hellish figures such as Baphomet, Lilith, and the Devil. I find beauty and mystery and that which is misunderstood or stigmatized, and I try to convey that in my creations (though maybe there's nothing beautiful or mysterious about a spider crawling out of an eye!). I love using Impressionism and Post-Impressionism techniques, specifically with acrylics, and I love the motion and depth they give to a painting. I love making shadows with complimentary colors to add a bit of flare.
